Ozarka College has selected John "Mike " Rogers of Mountain View, Arkansas as recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Alumni. Rogers will be recognized at the Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC) awards brunch on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in Little Rock, Arkansas.Rogers graduated from Ozarka College in 2009, then came back to the College as an employee in 2014. Not only is he an exceptional instructor, he has even been credited with helping save a student's life. The student began experiencing heart failure in between classes, so Mike and fellow colleagues jumped into action. Mike's skills are often credited for the situation having a positive outcome. He is well respected by his peers, his students, and members of the medical community.Ozarka College President, Dr. Richard Dawe, commented, "Mike is such a positive influence on students and faculty at our Mountain View campus.
