The Ozarka College Continuing Education program will begin offering a chair yoga class in Melbourne, Arkansas on October 4, 2017. The class will meet on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes and will continue throughout the fall semester. The class will be lead by Dr. Deltha Sharp, who has been practicing yoga for over five years and is currently completing a certified yoga teacher-training program. "The chair yoga class will offer an opportunity for people of all ages and capabilities to improve their range of motion by focusing on movement, breath, and flexibility, " commented Dr. Sharp. "This practice is perfect for students who are new to yoga with limited mobility and flexibility, or who just need a few moments to focus on physical and mental health. The class is structured in such a way that students can join at any time, and no yoga experience is necessary. "Participants are welcome to bring their own blocks, straps, blankets, etc.; however, there will be a few of each available at class. The cost is free, but registration is required prior to a participant's first class.
