Ozarka College will celebrate Constitution Day today, Sept. 17, with a variety of activities planned at the college's four locations in Melbourne, Ash Flat, Mountain View and Mammoth Spring.
Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by 39 individuals on Sept. 17, 1787, recognizing all who are born in the U.S.or by naturalization have become citizens.
The Paul Weaver Library on the Melbourne campus will feature a patriotic display of pictures in the Library. There also will be voting machines on display at each location to familiarize students with the voting process. Voter registration applications will be available for students and others who have not registered to vote.
There will be a patriotic slideshow, with patriotic music playing in the cafeteria in the Administration building on the Melbourne campus. Ink pens will be distributed to students and visitors on each campus with the wording “Paul Weaver Library Celebrates Constitution Day September 17, 2013."
All events are free and open to the public.![]()
