The 8th  annual Tour D'Art was hosted by the Friends of the Paul Weaver Library on April 18, 2019. The event took place at Ozarka College in Melbourne, Arkansas and saw some 300 visitors throughout the day-long event. Tour D'Art featured artwork from area public schools, as well as works from Ozarka College students, faculty, staff and community members.  This year's event also featured performing arts that were much enjoyed by those in attendance!  Art exhibits were displayed in the John E. Miller Education Complex and included paintings, woodcrafts, sculptures, hand-made jewelry, quilts, drawings, photography, mosaic art, and more.  Ozarka College has many faculty members who are multi-talented; some of them volunteered to share these talents with the community. Leslie Love (Biology) provided painting demonstrations and Amy Queret-Mitchell (Culinary) shared culinary art demonstrations. Jed O'Brien (Math) and David Mitchell (Science) both shared their musical talents in the Miller Auditorium. Performing with Mr. Mitchell was his daughter, Echo.Tour D'Art is free to attend and is sponsored by the Friends of the Paul Weaver Library, a group of community volunteers who support the Paul Weaver Library and its mission.   If you would like more information about joining the Friends or  next year's Tour D'Art, please contact Dan Lindsey, Ozarka College library director, at 870-368-2055 or  email:  dlindsey@ozarka.edu.
