Justin Scheel of Highland, Arkansas, has officially passed his Instrument Checkride! Justin started flying because he has always been intrigued by airplanes, and the concept of flight. When asked about what it was like passing his checkride, Justin said, "It was tough but refreshing at the same time. It is humbling to be tested so extensively, and see that all of the hard work has paid off. " His instructor, Tim Ambrose, said, "Justin is a great example of how hard work pays off, he has studied hard through the semester and Tuesday he passed his checkride. Justin is an exceptional pilot and will go far. " Justin will continue his training with Ozarka's aviation program this spring while completing his Associates of Applied Science-Commercial Pilot Degree. Scheel plans to pursue bachelors's degree while working as an instructor, and then fly regional to gain more knowledge and experience. Later he plans to work for a major airline company. Upon completion of Ozarka's FAA approved Part 141 flight school, students have the opportunity to complete the multi-engine commercial training at Ozarka College. For more information about flight training at Ozarka College or the aviation program, please call John Catlett, director of aviation, at 870.368.7926 or email: flying@ozarka.edu.
