Students were given an opportunity to interact with a panel of industry professionals who represented a wide variety of careers within the agriculture industry. The event featured a question and answer session that yielded informative discussions and provided students with insight into the education, skills, and experience needed to work in various agriculture jobs. The event was co-hosted by Agriculture Program Coordinator, Dr. Casey Orr, and Perkins Career Planning Mentor, Kendra Smith. "The best piece of career advice I can give to a student is to find someone who is doing what you want to do, at the level you want to do it, and ask them how they got there. That's what this event was all about, " stated Smith. "If this event gave just one student the encouragement they needed to pursue a rewarding career in agriculture, that was my goal, " stated Dr. Orr, "and I hope they know that Ozarka College can give them the training they need to get started.
