The Career Planning Services Department of Ozarka College will host an Aviation Industry Career Day in the Student Services Center on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop will bring together students who are enrolled or interested in the aviation degree programs with a diverse panel of industry professionals who will share their knowledge of employment within the industry and field questions from participants. The workshop will begin with a networking lunch, proceed with panelist introductions and a question and answer session between students and panelists, and conclude with an opportunity for students to interact with these industry professionals individually as well as aviation industry recruiters. The goal of this event is to create awareness of the technical, academic and professional skills students need to develop in order to maximize their employability within the incredibly high demand field of aviation.Current and past Ozarka Aviation students, High School students and community members who are considering Ozarka Aviation degree programs, and high school students who may be interested in aviation careers are encouraged to attend. The event will be facilitated by Kendra Smith, Ozarka College Career Planning Mentor.Space and lunch are limited, so an RSVP to kendra.smith@ozarka.edu by Friday, April 19 would be appreciated. Career Planning Services is funded by the Carl D. Perkins Grant, which is a federal grant aimed to develop the academic, career, and technical skills of high school and college students enrolled in career and technical education programs.
