The Ozarka College Diversity Committee will be hosting its annual International Day activities during the next two weeks. All Ozarka College students, faculty and staff are welcome to participate in this fun and educational event which will focus on the country of Australia.International Day will take place at Ozarka College from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. as follows:Tuesday, October 23, at Mountain View in the Student Center;Thursday, October 25, at Melbourne in the Administration Building Dining Hall;Tuesday, October 30, at Ash Flat in the Student Center;Thursday, November 1, at Mammoth Spring in Room MS104.International Day has become a popular event at Ozarka, according to Diversity Committee member, Mary Ellen Hawkins. "Each year we explore a new country and this year we are taking a tour of the island nation of Australia. This year’s event will promise a rich experience of Australian culture as it features native artwork, music, and some samplings of authentic Aussie Cuisine.” The event will also include a video tour of the geographically diverse country with areas ranging from snow-capped mountains to large deserts to tropical forests to the sometimes unforgiving and even mysterious Australian Outback.There will be a $25 cash drawing at each site for those who participate in this event which is offered at no cost.
