Ozarka College has selected Mr. Marty McFarlin as recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Staff of the Year award. He will be recognized at the Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC) virtual awards and recognition ceremony in October. Marty McFarlin is a credit to Ozarka College and represents the best of the institution. McFarlin was first hired in Ozarka's Physical Plant department and has worked at Ozarka for seven years. He currently is the Director of Maintenance. Prior to working at Ozarka, Marty worked as an HVAC contractor. Importantly, McFarlin is an effective director for the maintenance team tackling important projects for the College, including a most recent renovation to the new Carpenter Technical Center in Ash Flat. Marty is most deserving of this accolade; going the extra mile in all facets of his role and exemplifies excellence in all he does for Ozarka College.Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka president commented, "Marty is one of those vital employees that I can't image achieving the things we do, without him. He manages an exceptional team and they accomplished so much this year for our College. " "We are so proud of the work Marty does for Ozarka," said Tina Wheelis, Executive VP of Finance and Administration. Marty is an exceptional employee who is always willing to assist in any area that is needed. His dedication to the College has been proven many times. I could not think of a more deserving person for this year's Outstanding Staff award."
