Caleb Huett of Elizabeth, Arkansas, has officially passed his Instrument Checkride! Caleb started flying because of his love of flight. When he was younger he flew a remote controlled model plane and that enthusiasm has remained with him.Huett's goal is to fly for an airline someday. When asked about what it was like passing his checkride, Caleb said, "I was nervous at first, but as I progressed through the checkride I got more comfortable. Hearing the DPE say that I passed filled me with both relief and excitement. " His instructor, Tim Ambrose, said, "Caleb did well on his checkride despite unfavorable winds and turbulence. He has been a great student and is continuing in the aviation program to become a commercial pilot. " Caleb will continue his training with Ozarka's aviation program this spring while completing his Associates of Applied Science-Commercial Pilot Degree. Upon completion of Ozarka's FAA approved Part 141 flight school, students have the opportunity to complete the multi-engine commercial training at Ozarka College.
