The Ozarka College Adult Education Department recently conferred 167 General Educational Development (GED) certificates at commencement on Thursday, May 23.
Of the students who received their GEDs, 24 were awarded the New Horizon Scholarship to Ozarka College. The New Horizon Scholarship is awarded to first-time, full-time students after they earn their GED from Ozarka College with an average score of at least 600. The New Horizon Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship and is renewable each semester for up to four semesters as long as the recipient completes at least 12 credit hours per semester with a GPA of at least 3.0.
