Two  Ozarka College students attended the Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC) Student Leadership Day held February 26th, at the Arkansas State Capitol. Student Ambassador, Kennedy Wallis, who is pursuing her Associate of Arts degree with plans to become a veterinarian, and Abby Greer, a pre-nursing student who serves as a Student Ambassador and Student Government Vice President for the Ozarka College Ash Flat campus, represented Ozarka College at the event.  Ozarka is thrilled for these two exceptional student leaders to represent the College at the Capitol event and see the legislature in session, " said Dr. Josh Wilson, Vice President of Student Services.   "Abby and Kennedy show great leadership promise for their communities and have bright futures ahead. "While attending the students viewed a Senate Insurance and Commerce Committee Meeting, listened to bills being discussed and voted upon on the Senate Floor, toured the Capitol building and grounds, and met with local State Representative, Michelle Gray.  "It is an honor to meet these two bright young ladies, " said Rep. Gray.   "I am appreciative of Arkansas Community Colleges for hosting and it gives me great confidence in the future of Arkansas to see these young aspiring leaders taking interest in our government in action. "  Student Leadership Day is an annual event coordinated by the Arkansas Community Colleges association, an opportunity for future leaders in our state to visit the State Capitol and witness our state government in action and provides a chance to meet their local legislators.
