Ozarka College recently promoted Angela Phipps to the position of associate director of advancement. Prior to this roll, Phipps served as the administrative assistant to the director of aviation. She gained a great deal of experience working with the students and learned about the necessity of scholarships. "Angela comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in customer relations and a strong background in sales, " said Suellen Davidson, Ozarka College director of advancement. "She is extremely creative and brings a positive outlook and a deep appreciation for our students and communities. Angela will be such an asset to this department, the Foundation Board, and the College as a whole. " Phipps, who has a BFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA commented, "I love Ozarka College and I am thrilled to come to work every day and get to be a part of students fulfilling their dreams. I have seen firsthand how scholarships can make a difference in helping students finish their degree. " In her spare time, Phipps makes rustic cutting boards and serving trays from different native woods and enjoys doing oil and watercolor paintings.
