Ozarka College is pleased to announce the hiring of Allen Wallis, who will serve as the full-time criminal justice faculty and program coordinator. He is retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master-at-Arms Chief and was most recently employed at the Sharp County sheriff's office. In that roll, he served as a school resource officer, full-time deputy and taught Criminal Justice at Highland High School.
Wallis holds a Master of Science degree in criminal justice/forensic science from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland. Additionally, he has earned certificates from Tidewater Community College and Southern Arkansas University Tech.
"I'm truly excited to be working at Ozarka College, " said Wallis. "I hope to bring my enthusiasm and extensive professional experience on the Criminal Justice system into the classroom. Semper Fortis! "
Wallis lived in Iceland for eight and one-half years and speaks Icelandic. He is married to Cristy and has a 20 year old son (Alexander) and a 7 year old daughter (Juliet).
