Ozarka College is proud to announce that Kim Whitten, Director of Ozarka College in Ash Flat, is a co-recipient of the 2014 E. Wilson Green Award. Nominees of this award should be a person or organization that is a Civic Minded Volunteer and has distinguished themselves by love and vigorous support of the Spring River Area community. Whitten received this honor during the Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce annual banquet that was held on January 20, 2015 at Artisan Steakhouse and Grill in Highland, AR. She and fellow Rotarian, Donald Britnell, tied for this honor."I have attended the Spring River Chamber of Commerce Banquet many times over the past several years and have watched people who I respect in the community receive the E. Wilson Green award, " says Kim Whitten. "I would never expect to be honored with such an accolade! " Whitten who has been an employee of Ozarka College for several years loves the Sharp County community and enjoys doing her part to serve. She hopes that the work everyone does together as members of the Chamber, along with various churches and community organizations, will help to improve our local economy and the way of life in Sharp County and beyond.
