Ozarka College Foundation Board Hosts Annual Golf Tournament

(More photos can be found on the Ozarka College Facebook page) MELBOURNE (Oct. 4, 2012) - The Ozarka College Foundation Board hosted its annual golf tournament at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course Saturday, Sept. 29 in Melbourne. There were 27 teams that competed in this year’s event that raised scholarship funds for Ozarka College students.Winners of the Championship Flight were 1st place: Al Smith, Dylan Smith, Bradley Lamb, Emily Johnson; 2nd place: Scott Daily, Dana Fromdahl, Shane Smith, William Jarrett (sponsored by FNBC); 3rd place: Ben Cooper, Bennie Cooper, Robert Cooper, Sam Cooper (sponsored by Cooper Realty). Winners of the First Flight were 1st place: Ed Swartz, Joyce Swartz, Mike Slavin, Joann Slavin; 2nd place: Terry Smith, Albert Hieser, Al Shaw, Mike Collins; 3rd place: David Heringer, Tommy Tucker, John Vinson, Cecilia Vinson (sponsored by Lyon College). Winners of the Second Flight were 1st place: Marion Thompson, Tim Hodges, John Hodges, Karroll Fowlkes (sponsored by Fulton County Hospital); 2nd place: Phillip Steed, Chance Steed, Chase Steed, Floyd Haley (sponsored by Izard County Farm Bureau); 3rd place: Charles Treat, John Phillips, Ken Phillips, David Harmon (sponsored by Green’s Tax Service).“Each year, the supporters of this golf tournament amaze me with their unwavering support of our Foundation,” said Director of Advancement and tournament organizer, Suellen Davidson. “It is because of the generosity of our communities that we are able to continue to award these life-changing scholarships to our students.
