Registration will open for current Ozarka College students on Monday, Nov. 4 at 8 a.m. for the spring 2014 semester. Any student who has successfully completed a semester at Ozarka College can register online after meeting and planning class schedules with academic advisors. The first day of the spring semester will be Monday, Jan. 13.
Any new or first-time students may register beginning on Monday, Nov. 11 and continuing through Friday, Dec. 13. Late registration is also scheduled for Jan. 7 – 10.
Each location will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 for an evening registration open house. Anyone interested in taking evening and hybrid courses at Ozarka College is encouraged to attend to meet with an academic advisor, student services and financial aid.
Ozarka College offers day, evening and online courses toward associate and technical degrees at all locations. Offerings include associate degrees in general education, business, teaching, criminal justice and corrections and human services. Technical degrees include licensed practical nursing, culinary arts, general technology, automotive service technology and business technology.
Anyone planning to enroll as a new student at Ozarka College must take the ACT or Compass assessment. These test scores are required for placement in English, reading and math.
Compass testing is available at all Ozarka College locations free of charge. Anyone needing to test is encouraged to schedule an appointment at his or her location of choice. A photo ID is required to take the test. Tests may be scheduled by calling 870-368-2049 in Izard County, 870-269-5600 in Stone County, 870-994-7273 in Sharp County, 870-625-0411 in Fulton County or toll free at 1-800-821-4335.
All degree seeking new or transfer students taking six or more credit hours are required to attend one day of new student orientation. All students enrolled concurrently with their high school and Ozarka College are exempt from orientation until they are enrolled as full-time students.
New student orientations are scheduled from 9 a.m. – noon at the following locations:
- Tuesday, Jan. 7: Ozarka College – Mountain View
- Wednesday, Jan. 8: Ozarka College – Ash Flat
- Thursday, Jan. 9: Ozarka College – Mammoth Spring
- Friday, Jan. 10: Ozarka College – Melbourne
Anyone interested in learning more about Ozarka College is encouraged to stop by any campus location from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours will also be offered as follows:
- Ozarka College – Melbourne: Mondays and Tuesdays until 6 p.m. – Student Services Office located in the Administration Building
- Ozarka College – Mountain View: Monday through Thursday until 9 p.m.
- Ozarka College – Ash Flat: Mondays through Thursday until 9 p.m.
- Ozarka College – Mammoth Spring: Monday through Thursday until 9 p.m.
