Chris Layne, Lead Automotive/Diesel Technology Instructor, has been named Ozarka College Alumni of the Year. Chris holds an associate degree from Ozarka in Automotive Service Technology and is a Master ASE Certified Technician."Chris Layne is vital to the success of our automotive program and an exceptionally talented faculty member, " said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. "We are fortunate to have him as a colleague and very proud of his selection. "Layne joined Ozarka in August of 2010, as the Automotive Service Technology Instructor. Prior to Ozarka, Layne worked as a service manager and technician for multiple motor companies."Ozarka College gave me the educational opportunity to earn an Associate's degree in the Automotive Service Technology program, " said Chris. "For several years I worked in the automotive service industry. But now as an instructor at Ozarka College, I enjoy teaching and helping students succeed in their chosen career path in this same industry. "Layne has also served on several committees over the years, including Automotive Service Technology Department, Campus Preparedness/Safety, Instructional - Applied Science and Technology Division, and the Automotive Service Technology Advisory Council.
